The positions are open to applicants of any nationality. Applicants should typically have between 3 and 6 years of postdoctoral experience in a field related to the overall scientific focus of the Laboratory in plant development and its computational modelling. Applicants should be able to provide strong evidence of their potential to develop independent research programs.

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for Research Career Development Fellowships to be held in the Sainsbury Laboratory at the University of Cambridge. With the intention of nurturing the next generation of researchers in the field of plant science, the Fellowships provide an opportunity for talented junior investigators to develop their own research program and become creative leaders in the field. Fellowships are for five years. Successful applicants will receive an initial three years of funding, with extension for a further two years contingent on a successful scientific review, and will hold an appointment with the University of Cambridge. Funds include full salary, benefits and £40,000 p.a. of unrestricted research support. As they develop into independent researchers, Fellows will be encouraged to apply for external funding. Fellows can apply for Research Group Leader positions within the Laboratory at any time.
